USC offers three different physical therapy programs. These include the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, the Clinical Residency Program in Neurologic Physical Therapy, the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program and the Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program.

It ranks first among the physical therapy schools that grant a doctoral degree in physical therapy. For this reason, admission is becoming more selective every year because of the increasing number of applicants.

The DPT degree enables graduates to conduct treatments and evaluations without a referral from another practitioner. For this reason, many believe that the high tuition rates are compensated by the expected high salary rates later on.

Curriculum

• 20 hours of hands-on patient care of direct patient care
• 4 hours of clinical practice under the supervision of a mentor
• 4 hours training by USC physicians
• 8 hours of lectures

Tuition

• $53,281 per year in the 1st and 2nd year
• $32,191 for the 3rd year
• $300 additional fees
• $451 mandatory USC health insurance for the fall
• $658 mandatory USC health insurance for the spring/summer
